I don't know where to begin. This game is huge. Gordian Rooms 1 was just a very short game compared to this one, and I’ve got more than 12 hours of playtime on that one. This huge sequel is stuffed with good puzzles. It is like a very long orgy of good brain-teasers. And it's more than that. It is also a game where you have to search for hidden items. The inventory for this is enormous. I never played a puzzle game where the inventory was so huge as in this one, a world record amount of items. I got addicted to searching for them all and I almost found them all except for one wine bottle. Luckily you don’t need to search for all the items if you don’t want to. You don’t need to find them all to finish the game.

Gordian Rooms 1 was a game where you went from room to room trying to finish all the puzzles in one room at a time. It played like an escape room game. The game had no outdoor scenes. Gordian Rooms 2 takes place on an island. You are free to move around on the entire island and there are both indoor and outdoor scenes. The game is non-linear except for the early parts of the game. Gordian Rooms 2 plays more like a Myst game instead of an escape room game.

There are many unique puzzles in the game, but some puzzles are repeated several times. Thus there is quite a lot of repetition of the same type of puzzles in different configurations.

Graphically I can only praise this game. The world environment looks stunningly beautiful. The rooms are very detailed and they’re stuffed with many furniture and items. The outdoor scenes are also very detailed and the island is huge. The 3D models are all high quality and the lighting is first class. It is evident that the developers made good use of the Unreal Engine.

One negative thing about this game is that the game crashed 15 times on me. But I lost very little progress. The autosave did a good job at preventing that. But there are still a few bugs to work out.

I really wanted to finish the game without any help, and so I really tried. I got all the way to 86% without using a walkthrough or the hint system. From then on I started to use the hint system because I had gotten stuck on three different puzzles.

I want to congratulate the developers for creating this game. It must have been an enormous amount of work to develop Gordian Rooms 2. I am looking forward to whatever this developer will create next. Until that time all I can do is greatly recommend this game.

Puzzles are super interesting! Never boring.

Very good puzzle game. Good puzzles, some easy, some pretty hard, good atmosphere. I didn't like how spread out it was though and spent a LOT of time running from one place to another back to the first place just to find out the thing I needed was not there so had to go looking all over the island again and it was just a little... much. But the puzzles were very good. The hint system not so great. Many times it would tell you there was nothing else to do in an area when there was plenty and there were no hints for many areas, it would just say something like, "You should look around." But overall a nice game and I hope there will be a GR3.
